The goal is to raise awareness for the first ever nationally endangered bee (the rusty patched bumble bee) and to educate people about the importance of pollinators and land protection. Iowa is almost dead last for states with protected public land. Our nonprofit exists to protect Eastern Iowa's last remaining prairies, woodlands, and wetlands land for the betterment of the environment and the health of our communities. Donations are used to restore vital habitat and to protect land. At least 7 of our properties have rusty patched bumble bees living on them. These conservation successes are what we live for :)
This will be a basic Yoga class, emphasizing breath with movement. All levels are welcome.
All donations go to Bur Oak Land Trust
In this workshop, we will practice the technique of finding your best Childs Pose, Balasana. This is a very challenging posture to master and takes years of practice. We need to make sure we are very mindful when practicing this posture and not to take it too far. Find just the right amount of effort & ease. If it becomes too intense, please make sure you take a break and listen to your body. This is an advanced workshop and previous yoga experience is required. namaste yogis
